Khaki is the New Black

Khaki is giving black a run for its money as designers are showcasing it as the new neutral for the Spring 2015 season. It’s surprisingly so versatile, it may just replace that favorite black piece you thought would never go out of style. The trench is a spring staple. We’re seeing khaki versions from The Row, Acne Studios, J.W. Anderson and Calvin Klein Collection. Even J.Crew and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi are featuring dresses in trench inspired styles. Moschino’s cotton khaki dresses feel light enough for seasonal layering and will be a wardrobe staple when things warm up again.

Accessorize with pieces that feel both sweet and a little edgy, as there is a preppy nature to this trend. Enter: Fenton Fallon. This brand is showing bold metal cuffs featuring massive bows created out of rows of different sized pearls. These, along with their pearl studs that feature a spike through the center of the stud are the perfect mix of soft and tough, making any khaki ensemble feel newly sophisticated for the Spring 2015 season.
